Lost & Found in China follows rugby legend Stuart Krohn as he takes a boys’ and a girls’ rugby team to tour China and Hong Kong finally reaching the Hong Kong Sevens where Stuart made his rugby career. The teams are made up of students from ICEF public schools, a charter school program in South LA that promotes excellence in academics.
The students go on an adventure, discovering ancient sights and cultural experiences in an unknown land while playing fiercely on the rugby field. The film is the second in a series of films that started in 2012. Red White Black & Blue followed students to New Zealand. Many of the students will continue to feature year after year in this long form documentary series.
The students have big dreams, and some hope to be in the first US Olympic Rugby Sevens men’s and women’s teams when it is introduced in 2016. Others hope for college success, to better their community, and to beat the expectations that surround where they come from.
